Win2K and scandisk permissions

In our training lab, we do some basic pc troubleshooting training. Our
machines there are WIN 2000 Pro. I've given the users power user
permissions, but this is not enough to allow them to experiment with
scan disk.
I'm going through the MS site to see if there's an answer there, but I
thought this might be faster!
I've also just loaded the trial version of DeepFreeze on these pcs, so
if worse comes to worse, I can just give the users admin permissions,
but I'd really prefer not to go that route.
Any tips?
Thanks.
