ELPUB 2002 ++ Technology Interactions
Electronic publishing is a dynamic technology field that affects various
areas of research and application, such as e-commerce, digital libraries,
and distance learning.
This scientific conference will explore the various interrelations between
the areas of electronic publishing. 49 authors from 16 countries will
present their work. The presentations will deal with development and
application concepts of new digital technologies as well as with broader
sociocultural aspects and organizational issues and scenarios of electronic
publishing. The program will be completed by cutting edge product
presentations and a couple of social events in the unique atmosphere of one
of Europe's oldest and most beautiful hotels, the Grandhotel Pupp.
ELPUB 2002
is the sixth event in a series of annually held international conferences on
electronic publishing. The objective of ELPUB conferences is to bring
together researchers, developers, managers, and practitioners who work on
electronic publishing issues in the public, scientific, and commercial
field.

Elektronisches Publizieren ist ein dynamischer Technologiebereich, der
unterschiedlichste Forschungs- und Anwendungsfelder berührt und beeinflusst,
vom e-Commerce über Digitale Bibliotheken bis zum Distance Learning.
Diese wissenschaftliche Konferenz geht den verschiedenen Wechselbeziehungen
zwischen den Gebieten des elektronischen Publizierens nach. 49 Autorinnen
und Autoren aus 16 Ländern stellen Ihre Arbeiten vor. Die Vorträge und
Präsentationen behandeln Entwicklungs- und Einsatzkonzepte neuer digitaler
Technologien sowie soziokulturelle Rahmenaspekte und organisatorische
Probleme und Szenarien des elektronischen Publizierens. Das Programm wird
abgerundet durch innovative Firmenpräsentationen und eine Reihe von
geselligen Ereignissen. Das Grandhotel Pupp, eines der traditionsreichsten

A Publicação Electrónica é um campo de tecnologia dinâmica que afecta várias
áreas de investigação e aplicação, como o comércio electrónico, as
bibliotecas digitais e o ensino à distância.
A conferência científica Elpub 2002 explorará as diversas inter-relações na
área da publicação electrónica. Serão apresentados trabalhos de 49 autores
vindos de 16 países. As apresentações abordarão o desenvolvimento e
aplicação das novas tecnologias digitais, assim como aspectos
socioculturais e questões organizacionais mais abrangentes, bem como os
diferentes cenários de publicação electrónica. O Programa será completado
por apresentações de produtos que usam tecnologia de ponta e por alguns
eventos sociais na atmosfera única de um dos mais antigos e belos hotéis da
Europa, o Grandhotel Pupp.
A Elpub 2002 é a sexta de uma série de conferências anuais de carácter
internacional sobre Publicação Electrónica. O objectivo das conferências
ElPub é reunir profissionais de investigação e desenvolvimento, gestores e
utilizadores que lidam com as questões da Publicação Electrónica nos
domínios público, científico e comercial.
A Elpub 2002 é uma oportunidade para experimentar a aprendizagem intensiva.
Serão exploradas novas estratégias de conteúdos, serão dadas a conhecer
soluções de sucesso e descobertas as técnicas e ferramentas mais recentes. O
facto de se encontrarem nesta conferência peritos e investigadores de todo o

La publicación electrónica es una parte dinámica de la tecnología que trata
e influencia los más diversos campos de investigación y aplicación, desde
e-Commerce y bibliotecas digitales hasta el aprendizaje a distancia.
En estas conferencias científicas se tratarán las distintas relaciones de
intercambio entre los ámbitos de la publicación electrónica. 49 autoras y
autores de 16 países presentarán sus trabajos. Las conferencias y
presentaciones expondrán, tanto proyectos de investigación y aplicación de
nuevas tecnologías digitales, como aspectos socioculturales y problemas de
organización y panorama. El programa se completa con innovativas
presentaciones de empresas y diversos acontecimientos sociales. Uno de los

Elektronisk publicering är ett dynamiskt ämne som spänner över skilda
forskningsfält och användningsområden såsom e-kommers, digitala bibliotek
och distansundervisning, för att bara ta ett fåtal exempel.
Under denna vetenskapliga konferens kommer olika relationer mellan skilda
områden av elektronisk publicering att utforskas. Artikelförfattare från 16
olika länder presenterar sina arbeten. Presentationerna handlar om
utveckling och applikationer av ny digital teknik men också bredare sociala,
kulturella aspekter av elektronisk publicering. Det digra programmet
fulländas av en rad presentationer av spetsteknologi och ett rikt social
program som tar plats i en unik miljö i en av Europas äldsta och vackraste
hotel - Grand Hotel Pupp.
