Hello, a .wm3 file?

Greetings to the list!
Might I come out of the shadows to inquire from those who might know what an
.wm3 file extension is?  My faculty has just sent this to me, and I have
no clue.
An extensive search of Google yielded only frustration.
Where might I download the required software to open this file?
