     Seminar: Exceptional Internet Research

"Exceptional Internet Research", a 3-hour seminar for comfortable to
experienced internet users, will be held in venues across middle and
western US, +DC this fall (list below).

The presenter is David Novak, founder of the Spire Project, author of the
Information Research FAQ, and a noted speaker on this topic. Confirm his
expertise at http://spireproject.com

David delves into techniques like field searching, search tool bias,
quality assessment based on context, and competing Internet Publishing
Paradigms. Visitors familiar with David Novak's work through the Spire
Project will find this seminar further develops techniques and concepts
touched on in his articles and FAQs.

The cost: $200 per person
($150 for third and subsequent seats, 10% off for prepayment)
A PDF brochure resides at http://spireproject.com/pdf01.pdf

This seminar has received considerable praise in Australia and New
Zealand,
particularly from its approach - that exceptional internet research is a
bridge between complex internet technology and experienced library
science.
It is also very visual: more than 150 webpages strung together and
displayed in a way that mimics the process of internet research. Its not
hard to follow, and does not require great internet experience to
understand, but will excite those ready for the next step.
