Good Morning Everyone,
We are setting up Remote Patron Authentication using RPA from
epixtech and are running into some problems.
This is what we want to happen:
For each resource we want one link that when selected uses IP
authentication to decide if the patron is inside or outside the library. If
the patron is inside the library RPA would pass the patron through to the
resource. Patrons located outside the library would be taken to a page where
they enter their barcode from their library card, then be sent on to the
resource.
Each resource tends to handle requests differently, it is setting up
RPA to handle these requests that we are having troubles with. Internally,
some pass through just fine, while others go to the page where they enter
their barcode.
Here are a couple of examples of links that will not IP passthru:
Sanborn Maps for Kansas:

EBSCO:

Is there something we are missing? Has anyone else out there
deployed RPA by epixtech and encountered similiar problems and found
solutions they would like to share.
Please contact me off list please.
Thank you,
Michael Perkins
