Resource Management Librarian
A. Pierre Guillermin Library (

Assists in the development and implementation of
bibliographic standards to describe and manage the Library's growing
electronic resource collection. Manages the processing and cataloging of the
Library's electronic, print, and media resources. Performs collection
maintenance. Will also participate in liaison program, including: reference,
instruction, and subject area collection development.
Required Qualifications: MLS or equivalent degree from an
ALA-accredited institution. Knowledge of current descriptive and subject
cataloging principles and practices. Demonstrated excellence in verbal and
written communication. Awareness of current and emerging standards for
resource description.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in organizing library
resources and in describing electronic/digital resources in a web-based,
integrated library system environment. Experience in cataloging serials in
both printed and electronic formats.
This is a twelve-month position and carries faculty status.
Starting date: July 1, 2000.
