On Wednesday, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in
The New York Times v. Tasini, a copyright case that has become a
landmark for the digital age. The central issue: whether
publications must pay free-lance authors for electronically
redistributing, via a  computerized database, work originally
published in print. The case could reshape electronic publishing.
