You might be able to find something at http://www.paragaraph.com Paragraph
Software writes a handwriting recognition program for Windows CE. They have
a java applet on one page so you can test the program for recognizing your
handwriting. You should inquire about that java applet, I haven't seen them
advertising it for sell. They appear to be having server troubles right now
or either we're having trouble on campus, I can't connect to them.

Windows 95 is a 32-bit extension to a 16-bit patch for an 8-bit
operating system that was originally coded for a 4-bit microprocessor.

Reference

_Handwriting Recognition for Real-Time Digital Reference_

I am greatly interested in learning of any technologies that integrate
*handwriting recognition* with the chat function in Any and All interactive
Web applications (e.g., AOL Instant Messenger, real-time digital reference
services, etc.). I also interested in technologies that allow an individual
to communicate to other individuals (or a community) where such
communication is by *handwriting*
either by direct transmission of the writing or conversion using handwriting
recognition software.

As Always, Any and All contributions, comments, queries, questions, or
Cosmic Insights are Most Welcome!

     Regards,

/Gerry McKiernan
