Position - Reference/Instruction Librarian - Houston, TX

JOB TITLE:		Reference/Instruction Librarian

LOCATION:		North Harris College

SALARY:	Starting salary range $42,233-$51,895 annually. This is a full-time
twelve-month position.

START DATE:	August 20, 2000

Position Description

	*	Provide library instruction to library users at all levels
	*	Plan, implement, promote and evaluate instruction programs
with instructional team
	*	Develop print and web-based instructional resources
	*	Act as a department liaison to assigned academic divisions
	*	Assist with reference service including evening and weekend
rotation
	*	Share in collection development
	*	Compile library statistical reports

Qualifications

	*	Master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited
institution
	*	Teaching or training experience preferred
	*	Reference experience using electronic and print resources 
	*	Demonstrated competence with HTML and productivity software
	*	Strong institutional service orientation
	*	Excellent written and oral communication skills
	*	Ability to teach and work collaboratively in a
multicultural, user-oriented environment
