I'm sure others could contribute just as much if not more.

And yes, knitters did knit sweaters for penguins--lots of them!  In fact, so
many that they're now sold in gift shops on the Island as souvenirs, since
(fortunately) they had way more than they actually needed!  (the little
sweaters kept the penguins from grooming their oil-soaked feathers and were
used as a temporary measure only until the penguins could be cleaned).
