Position Announcement - Web Librarian

Hello all,

I am currently seeking an experienced Web Librarian for the
online division of a well known bank.

Description:
This position has primary responsibility for the design,
implementation and maintenance of a Library and Archive system
for the Internet Group/ Company Web Site and reports to the
Director of Production and Publishing Technologies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design and implement a reusable objects
library; research and design archiving needs for the Web Site;
identify web asset management tools; develop reusable objects and
metadata taxonomies; work with Content Management System(CMS),
per staff, to integrate library tools into CMS as a whole.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: 2+ years web experience, including
relational database experience required; familiarity with
workings of different web technologies; familiarity with metadata
definitions in web environment; BA/BS degree required, Master of
Library Science (MLS) preferred.

Additional experience as a webmaster and managing search engine
vendor relationships highly desirable.
