The splash page ***can*** be coded to automatically role over to the 'real' 
page, but KN raises perhaps the most important point in that the splash 
page "should serve some informative or instructive aim and not be used 
simply to showcase your Flash skills."

If the page is going to accessed in the community at large, and if this 
includes neighborhoods where old phone lines prevent transmission of data 
at greater than 26400 (as at my home) then any extra pages will be a real 
nuisance.
