Hi all,
in my experience using FP's "include page" feature as a Navigation bar for my pages, when I change the content of the "include
page" - nav bar,
itself, I've had to re-ftp all the pages that had that "include page" in them to our web server 'cause the server side documents,
don't automatically refresh with the new "include page" content.
does anyone have a nifty javascript workaround that would replace, behave better than the include page feature. I need a good
script that'd formulate both a side nav bar and a footer nav bar, so I could change information within one document, but have it
refreshed automatically without
having to re-ftp every page of the site that contains this links to the nav bars.
my original rationale for using the fp "include page" feature was inspired my reluctance to get into coding that'd have to fussily
satisfy both Netscape and IE. As well, I don't want to make my pages any slower by adding js, but
mebbe that's a misunderstanding on my part, does javascript make pages slower to load/use?
my experience / knowledg of js is at this time ltd..
Thanks for yr time.
