JOB SUMMARY:  Provides leadership and development of program areas
including library/computing, learning resources, and information
technology services.  Understands and interprets trends in information
management and delivery.  Understands and delivers information services
aligned with the curriculum that meet the learning needs of a diverse
educational community.  Demonstrates commitment to student success.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Develops and implements programs to promote,
deliver, and evaluate information literacy; provides information
literacy/library instruction; Collaborates with other faculty in the
development and management of collections, including print and
non-print, electronic and multimedia resources; delivers consultation
and reference services to the college community; Collaborates with
faculty and staff to provide access to information resources; creates,
collects and distributes information resources and tools; Provides
reference services to students, faculty and members of the
community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Master of Library or Information Science (or
its equivalent) from a graduate professional program accredited by the
American Library Association with at least twenty-four (24) semester
hours or thirty-six (36) quarter hours of upper division and/or graduate

credit in the field to be taught.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:  Training and experience creating and implementing
innovative Information Literacy instruction programs; Command of
technologies in support of Web-based resources and access; Experience in

web-based course development such as BlackBoard or other web course
development tools.
