Yet Another Virus

For anyone who hasn't heard already, it's time to upgrade
your virus protection as another destructive e-mail virus is
making the rounds. It is documented on most of the major
virus sites by this time, including Symantec's site, and
Norton at least has a patch for it (probably the other major
virus checkers do, too).

The virus, known as the "Life Stages" virus, spreads itself
using MS Outlook address books, so contaminated email may
come from a trusted friend. It uses an attachment which
looks at first glance like a .txt file, but is actually an
.shs file which means it will run on any Windows computer if
opened. The file is usually called
LIFE_STAGES.TXT.SHS. If opened, it will screw up your
computer so that it can't run properly.
