Sorting LC Call numbers

Good afternoon,

	We have extracted a large list of information including the LC 
call number into a delimited file from our database for future use on 
our website.  We need to sort these records by LC call number.  
Our initial attempts at doing this with the unix sort command have 
failed.  Does anyone know of a perl script or other utility that will 
sort by LC call number? Thanks for your assistance.
