Library Systems/Database Administrator
SUNY System Administration is seeking an individual to coordinate
and perform Unix system management, upgrades, and enhancements
for the SUNYConnect implementation of a multi-campus integrated
library system (Ex Libris Aleph 500). As a member of the Office of
Library & Information Services (OLIS), the successful candidate
will work with a team of information professionals coordinating and
providing services to the University's 64 campuses. This position will
be based in Albany and will require campus site visits throughout the
state.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must have 3 years
or more experience in Unix system administration, 3 years
experience with TCP/IP networks, 2 years experience in a
client/server computing environment, excellent oral and
written communication skills and a valid drivers license.
A Bachelors' degree is required. Familiarity with library
management systems, electronic information resources,
HTML, Oracle, SQL, CGI-script writing, shell
programming and Web database interactions are preferred.
Salary: Up to $65,000 commensurate with qualifications.
