Salary: $12.17 - 14.62 per hour + 7% PERS paid + generous benefits package
 
Position: To perform a variety of technical, specialized and 
responsible library tasks in support of division activities; such as 
Adult Services, Children's Services, Technical Services and Reference.  
Schedule requires evening and weekend hours.
 
Requirements:  Training and Experience
* A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent college units, with course work in 
library science or a related field
* One year of library experience.  Experience with reference work 
preferred.
 
Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge of standard library procedures, automation, book 
classification and cataloging, archival and special collections, basic 
reference and the use of a variety of reference sources and materials; 
basic computer skills; library terminology and standard library practices, techniques and 
record keeping methods and book selection tools and reference 
materials.  Ability to perform a wide variety of library work with 
speed and accuracy; learn library rules and regulations; perform basic 
library request and reference work; effectively use book selection 
materials; communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in 
writing and establish and maintian effective working relationships with 
those contacted in the course of work.
