Do we want a .lib or .library domain?

(Writing this before my coffee, so I almost sent it to "web3lib...")

One of the outcomes of so many libraries plunging in fairly early--a good
thing--is that library domain names are all over the map. It couldn't hurt
libraries to have a common identifier. Visibility, standardization, a
uniform presence--the museum community thought it was worthwhile; I do too.

As for the eminence of .dom, Salon's stock has been hovering at $1, they
just had more layoffs, and their CEO recently commented that ''The market is
demanding profitability.'' There's a rocket scientist! Now that the market
has had a reality check, it would be great timing for libraries to really
emerge. A common domain name would only further our cause.
