Job Description: 
Utilize domain-specific vocabularies and strategies that bridge between and
among schema to create and manage controlled vocabularies and thesauri for
the company. Develop taxonomies and tools to solve information organization
and management needs.

Develop procedures, policies, and mechanisms for rationalizing a diverse
information environment for both individuals and various user communities.
Work with groups and subject experts throughout the organization to balance
individual and local needs against larger organizational information needs.
Contribute to, and work in cooperation with, other standards and information
management efforts throughout the organization.

Minimum Qualifications 
Graduate Degree in Library Science, or equivalent.

General knowledge of and 2-3 years experience with: Metadata, cataloging and
classification theory and practice. Cataloging and categorizing information
resources. Creating usable controlled vocabularies, thesauri and/or
taxonomies. Full text and structured data retrieval in web and non-web
systems. Document and database storage formats and technologies. Web and
non-web user interfaces for administration and use of information management
and retrieval systems.

Ability to work as part of an Information Technology team to: Bring a
consistent understanding and approach to information management issues and
solutions. Design and document system specifications. Assist with the
implementation and maintenance of information systems.
 
Desired Qualifications 
Excellent communication, organization, and management skills. Ability to
establish, develop, and maintain relationships with colleagues across
diverse organizations. Knowledge and experience with current and future
trends in technology and systems developed for the information market,
including both library and non-library directed systems. Experience training
users and facilitating knowledge transfer to assist customers in the process
of designing and managing their own information systems.

Salary depending on qualifications.
