Librarians Resource Centre Updates for April

Greetings, Gentlefolk,

The April issue of New Resources for the Librarians' Resource Centre has
been posted at http://www.sla.org/chapter/ctor/toolbox/resource/ 

This month has seen a major shift in the way resources are retrieved. We
are abandoning the use of static pages in favour of dynamically generated
lists predicated on pre-defined queries to the database. In other words,
clicking on the subject links that appear on the Main Page or Site Plan
will serve up the requested list on demand. This method has two major
advantages: 

1. New sites can be retrieved as soon as they are entered in the database -
no time lag until the pages are updated.
2. We have only one web page to maintain. 

For a while the old web pages will continue to be available, should you
have them bookmarked. However, they are no longer being updated.
