The WDG Web site provides excellent support for CSS:
http://www.htmlhelp.org/reference/css/
In particular, you will want to become familiar with the
CSS properties area which offers easy-to-use CSS documentation:
http://www.htmlhelp.org/reference/css/properties.html
Their CSS Checker is an excellent resource for debugging CSS
style sheets. When things don't work the way you expect, perform
this check as a first step:
http://www.htmlhelp.org/tools/csscheck/
CSS will tend to not work correctly if your HTML is not valid
either, so you'll want to get into the habit of validating your
HTML:
http://www.htmlhelp.org/tools/validator/
The CSS Pointers Group Web site offers a wealth of problem solving
articles:
http://css.nu/
The book: "Cascading Style Sheets, Second Edition: Designing for the Web",
by Hakon Wium Lie, Bert Bos, Robert Cailliau, 2d edition, Addison-Wesley
is very thorough and clear. See:

The CSS newsgroup is:
comp.infosystems.www.authoring.stylesheets
Hope this helps. I am in no way affiliated within any of the Web sites
mentioned. Just a pleased user.
Best wishes,

Subject: [WEB4LIB] Elementary CSS Questions
I have two beginner's questions about implementing style sheets; I have
just begun experimenting with them.

I don't want to take up alot of bandwidth on this, but if anybody's
got a 1 min. answer and some pointers, I'd sure appreciate it. Thanks.
