The University of Texas at Arlington Libraries are seeking to fill a Web
Development Librarian position.  This individual will assist in the design,
development, organization, maintenance, and ongoing evaluation of the UTA
Libraries Online.  Provides general support to Web initiatives throughout
the library system. Serves as coordinator, trainer and primary support for
decentralized efforts to create and maintain Web pages of library
departments, branch libraries, and subject collections.  As a member of the
Web Services Department, the Web Development Librarian will shape decisions
on the long-term directions for the UTA Libraries Online and the development

Requirements:
ALA accredited MLS, demonstrated creativity and experience in designing,
developing and maintaining Web sites, advanced knowledge of HTML, expertise
in at least one Web scripting language (Perl, VBScript, JavaScript, or PHP),
solid basic UNIX foundation and fluency in Windows NT environment.  Prefer
experience with dynamic content development, authentication, and site
indexing and knowledge of Web support tools (scanners, digital cameras, HTML
editors, graphics software, etc.).

Salary: Negotiable to mid-$30s.
