Videoconference Seminar: E-Commerce For Governments, Libraries, Archives
And Museums ("GLAMS")
Copyrightlaws.com's popular half-day E-Commerce seminar will be held by
videoconference on two upcoming dates. The workshop will give participants
an opportunity to understand the basics of e-commerce, and how it can be
of benefit to GLAMs.
The following videoconference offerings are scheduled:
* Tuesday, October 19, 1999, 1 pm - 4 pm
(Registration Deadline: October 14, 1999)
* Tuesday, November 30, 1999
No longer should e-commerce, or conducting business electronically, be
considered the domain only of web-based businesses. GLAMs also can
participate, using e-commerce in virtually any context in which they would
carry out more traditional transactions.
There are many examples of how GLAMs can benefit from e-commerce using the
Internet as the medium: Publishing pictures or other works for purchase or
licensing; enabling online payment of fines, fees or donations; and
publicizing materials or services for order and delivery either online or
offline; and simply promoting your institution as part of your marketing
efforts.
The workshop registration fee is $150.00, including course materials.
