A little SSI tip. In re

you insure that the includes have the appropriate extension (they will run
with an .html extension but you take a big performance hit), but brownies or
no brownies, recite the following to your web maintainer (from
http://local.15seconds.com/faq/IIS%201.0/347.htm )
" Q: How do I change the server side include extension?
A: IIS install defaults to .stm for SSI. To change, edit the registry
entry:
file://HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/W3SVC/
Parameters/ServerSideIncludesExtension: REG_SZ:.stm "
