Telnet URL update

Here is what I've learned about Telnet URLs.
They may work, or they may not, depending on the browser and/or the telnet
program in use.
Newer versions of Internet Explorer will pass the login and/or password
correctly. Netscape strips those off and doesn't pass them at all.
However, though newer versions of IE will pass the login and password, the
MS telnet that is standard in Win9x products doesn't handle the login and
password correctly. MS has provided an unfortunate combination of tools.
Some of the telnet products that handle this correctly are Anzio, QVT/Term,
TeraTermPro2. Others undoubtedly do as well.
For the library at Boise State, I've now set the page
(http://library.boisestate.edu/catalog.htm) to provide both the proper link
(telnet://catalyst@catalyst.boisestate.edu) and some text telling the
majority what to do to connect.
Thanks to all for their assistance. As always, further updates or
corrections appreciated.
