inexpensive (even in Canadian Dollars!!) but packed with information
Netspeed is for you! Check out some of the speakers below and at the web
site.
Early bird registration ends July 30th, register three people from the

Netspeed is library technology conference for library
staff and trustees. At Netspeed you can explore new
technologies with colleagues from all kinds of
libraries. Whether you're a veteran surfer or still in
the shallows, Netspeed is for you.
Netspeed 99 will be held September 23-25 in Edmonton at
the Crowne Plaza (Chateau Lacombe).
The keynote speaker this year will be Paul Hoffert,
author of The Bagel Effect: a Compass to Navigate our
Wired World.
Dr. Charles McClure of Florida State University will be
speaking on evaluation techniques for libraries and
will also be providing an entertaining and insightful
wrap-up for the conference.
Many other informative sessions will be brought to you
by speakers from across North America, as well as by
presenters with a local perspective.
Registration fees are $70 plus $4.90 GST. Register
three people from one library and the fourth
registration is free if received by July 30.
Special rates for accommodation and parking are being
offered by the Crowne Plaza.
So don't delay! Send in your registration and keep up
to speed at Netspeed.
