Dominican College is a coeducational, independent Catholic liberal arts
college of approximately 1,400 students with a tradition of
interdisciplinary study in the humanities, a global perspective, and a
strong commitment to educating students. Nestled among 80 acres in San
Rafael, the county seat of Marin, Dominican is just 11 miles north of the
Golden Gate Bridge -- which leads directly into San Francisco and its wealth
of cultural experiences. San Rafael is also connected to Berkeley and San
Francisco's East Bay by the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. Archbishop Alemany
Library , named in honor of Joseph Sadoc Alemany, first Archbishop of San
Francisco, opened its doors to the college community on April 17, 1963.
Reference services include access to a variety of computerized databases and
indexes. The library also provides computer facilities to assist students in
their studies.
