I don't know if you were looking or books for Web training, but some I'd
recommend are:
--Information Architecture for the World Wide Web by Louis Rosenfeld,
--Web Site Usability by Jared M. Spool,
and one that is quite a bit more off-the-wall, but I think has more good
advice than anything else I've read (along with lots of tangental material):
--Philip and Alex's Guide to Web Publishing (successor to Database-backed
Web sites), by Philip Greenspun.
The entire text of the latter book is also available on the Web at:
http://www.photo.net/wtr/thebook/ I find it hard to read that way, as my
sticky notes won't stay put...
Other than using databases and means such as style sheets to make a site
easy to update, I'd encourage you to not get too carried away with fancy
markup and such. I'ts hard enough to make the site clearly navigable
without dealing with the complexities of too many tools.
