AUTOMATED SYSTEMS LIBRARIAN - The Capital Area District Library, 
Lansing, Michigan is seeking an Automated Systems Librarian to 
install and manage a multi-function automated library system 
and wide area network for its thirteen branches.  Other 
responsibilities include overseeing the management and use of 
the circulation subsystem, training staff in all aspects of 
automation, overseeing the district library's website, 
supervising the computer technicians, and working with automation 
and telecommunication vendors.  

The Capital Area District Library was created in 1998 when the 
Lansing Public Library and Ingham County Library were combined 
to form a new district library.  

Requires MLS from an ALA accredited institution, experience 
working with an integrated library automation system, and 
extensive knowledge of Windows 95, the Internet, and wide area 
networks.  

Salary $40,548 with excellent fringe benefits.
