After doing what has already been suggested, there is an excellent web
utility for downsizing your images and seeing what they look like called
Gifbot. As it says on the page "GIFBot works on both GIF and JPEG file.
It can process transparent GIFs and GIF animations."
The address is
http://www.zdnet.com/devhead/resources/tools/gifbot/
It asks you to put in the web address of your image and which format you
want as output (same, gif, jpeg, or both gif and jpeg). The page then
takes a bit to load but it shows you a range of reduced files. The best
part is that if you mouse over any of the images, it is replaced by your
original, so that you can very easily see how much it has been degraded
(if at all). Often used and highly recommended!

Has anyone on the list had experience with this? Any

would recommend?
