Well, the Catholics (and it is arguably their numbering system) apparently
consider the Jubilee Year (2000th anniversary) to have begun at the
midnight mass for Christmas (5 days ago). But why does it matter either
way? Other than 'watching the numbers roll over' and the Y2K bug there's
no special significance to the second millenium except in religion.
