MacWorld had a review on digital cameras in the September '99 issue--though
many were in the $500-$1,000 range.  You might want to check out zdnet
<http://www.zdnet.com> for tips and reviews on hardware.  I had a quick
look and it seems like they list models according to price range.  This may
help.
