Dondi,
We had the exact same problem at the Oshkosh Public Library.
The solution is to reinstall your HP 6L's using the PCL driver that is an
option in the installation software. The specific problem is that on some
PC's, the standard printer driver doesn't recognize the printers when
they're "asleep", and so, you get a backed up printer queue. (also, the
queue doesn't start back up when the printer comes out of sleep).
So, delete your current HP printer drivers and reinstall with the PCL.
This *should* do the trick.
