Average IOLS time-span

aloha!

In doing this report for management, I need to note both:

1.  The average number of years libraries stay with a particular IOLS 
software

2.  The average library server replacement period

We've had the same IOLS for 10 years - is this normal?
Our library server is only 5 years old but has already become obsolete (no 
longer supported by the manufacturer with parts, etc).

We would much appreciate any feedback you folks could send me - either on or 
off the listserv.
