Monday Eye Opener: 'Handicapped access' hits the Web
...Next month, it [the federal government] will unveil
standards aimed at ensuring that Web sites operated by firms
doing business with government agencies are fully accessible
to the disabled.
It sounds very much like this will eventually extend requirements to the
sorts of organizations currently affected by the ADA.
There's a sidebar about Bobby--ZD is honest enough to admit that their ZD
Network News page got 122 accessibility problems. I suspect a lot of us
have pages that wouldn't do too much better.
