Mmmmm. This is the first phrase I tried this morning:

In Italiano (Original text):
Non si puo certo dire che hockey su ghiaccio abbia in Italia un seguito
particolarmente forte.

Which came out as:

In English: 
Puo sure not to say that hockey on ice it has in Italy a continuation
particularly strongly. 

A closer translation might be: One certainly cannot say that ice hockey
has a particularly strong following in Italy. (In U.S. omit the ice?).
