Question about secure encryption versions of Netscape

We installed the secure encryption version of Netscape specifically
so that our patrons could submit applications to FAFSA. The one extra
wrinkle this brought was that we had to enable Netscape mail so that our
patrons could mail their application forms in. I used the Netscape
Administration kit and Visual C++ (using the instructions from the
Berkeley Public Library) to create a relatively secure version of
Netscape. We are just in the process of deploying this to our 27
buildings, but so far it seems to be working well.

E-mail me directly if you'd like details on how we restricted Netscape or
if you'd like more details.

Regards, Donna
