Need for a new list?

I too, would like to see the technical/programming topics remain within
web4lib. We all have delete keys for those threads for which we have
neither time or interest.

Has there been any feedback from the web4lib listowner?

If there are two lists, people may subscribe to both, and questions that
are relevant to both will inevitably get cross-posted, resulting in even
more e-mail! Listservs have sort of a "genetic drift" of their own. I
am not sure that splintering off more listservs is a good solution.

I would prefer to keep the diversity of topics the broad list offers,
and discuss programming technique in the context of policy and content,
and policy should be discussed with programmers and content folks
around, etc, etc. We all rely on each other for that perspective.

The archive of this list is a tremendous resource and I would hate to
see its utility dissipated.

Thanks for the .2!!

I agree with Ms Roberts and with the solution she proposed.
