I am looking for a clear definition of 10baseT and Cat5 specifications such
as bandwidth, speed, etc. I am trying to explain to people here why we have
changed from 10baseT daisy chained to Cat5 in a star type of configuration
for our campus network after the fiber optic comes into the building. 10
basset was just put in 3 years ago and now is being pulled and replaced all
over the college with Cat5. We will be moving to the "laptop university"
model over the next two years. Techy explanations and non-techy
explanations wanted.
