Need input on changes to NJC

I am looking for input on some recent changes I have made to Not Just
Cows.  Please respond back directly to me and not to the list.  The URL

I have added an animated banner and some other graphics.  I need to know
the following:

How long is it taking for the page to load?
Have I gone too far in animating the banner?
Any other suggestions?
