                        ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION AVAILABLE

POSITION:SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (LIBRARY) 
 
Vacancy: Twelve-month contract, renewable, 35 hours per week. Under the
direction of the Associate Dean for the Library, is responsible for managing
electronic information/ knowledge systems in the Library. Serves as a
resource for information technology planning and development campus wide.
Directs planning, budgeting, procurement, installation and operation of all
library information systems software and hardware. Serves as the principal
resource person in the Library for Internet/ World Wide Web applications
development. Provides general assistance and guidance on the use of
electronic format research materials and library services. Serves as the
primary contact with Information Management and Ameritech Library Services,
Inc., managing all library-side planning, maintenance, development and
training for the NOTIS integrated library system. Coordinates research and
planning to inform decisions on next-generation integrated library system
development. 
Salary range: $38,312- $57,406. 

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's
degree, preferably in a technology-related area, is required. Graduate
degree in librarianship; alternatively, a graduate degree in a
technology-related area may be considered. Three years experience is
required in management of electronic information systems in a post-secondary
education institution. Knowledge of library systems, networks, WWW
applications, PCs, and CD-ROM required. Excellent oral and written
English-language communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
Supervisory experience desirable, though not required.
