Software Grants Reward Innovative Use of Technology in Curricula

What:
College and university faculty are invited to apply for the 1999
Microsoft® Instructional Grant Program and share their innovative
uses of technology in computer science, engineering and information
systems curricula. This competitive grant offers software licenses
for Microsoft Visual Development tools and operating systems in
exchange for posting and sharing curricula via the Microsoft Academic
Cooperative Web site. Software license awards include the Visual
Basic* development system Professional Edition, the Visual C++*
development system Professional Edition, the Visual FoxPro® database
development system Professional Edition, the Visual J++* development
system Professional Edition for Java, Microsoft Access 97, the
Visual SourceSafe* version control system, the Visual InterDev(tm)
Web development system, and the Windows* 95 and Windows NT*
Workstation operating systems.
The Microsoft Instructional Grant Program includes three award
levels:
* Course Development Grant
* Team Builder/Infrastructure Development Grant
* Professional Development Grant
Established in 1995, this program has awarded more than $33 million
in free licenses for Microsoft development tools, applications and
operating systems to 742 colleges and universities for effective
integration of new technologies into curricula.

Network Technology's ISP performance survey for the final quarter of
1997, released Wednesday.

decided to conduct what he called a "test."
