Thanks to all who responded to my question about the <hr> graphic.

As was suggested, I placed the following:

<img src="anything.gif" width="100%">

I had tried this method before and couldn't get it to work but of course,
I tried it again, and it worked fine!  I think the table structure in my
page might have been causing problems.
