Court to Hear Case Against Public Library Filtering Software

The case ACLU vs. Loudoun County, Va., will go on. In a 36-page ruling, 
Judge Brinkema said the county government had "misconstrued the
nature of the Internet" in ordering the use of the filters. And she 
held that the county library board:

    "may not adopt and enforce content-based restrictions on 
access to protected Internet speech" unless such restrictions 
are found to meet Constitutional scrutiny."
