The latest, April, issue of "Communications of the ACM" is a special issue
on the topic of digital libraries!  It includes several overview articles
with an interoperability focus, plus some briefer articles on specific
digital library projects.  (I haven't finished reading it yet, so don't ask
me for more details!)
