Death Threat Woes

Yes, there is an IP address, but it's is from Rocketmail, not the local
machine. And from my library system, there are only two visible IP addresses
anyway, the firewall, and the e-mail server. Any patron would appear to be
the same IP address. Since we share the network with the local school's
there are 35 different sites and over 3000 computers that "Could" be the
culprit. AND we don't have a tracking system to keep records anyway.

The same is true if you use Netscape Mail, Eudora, or any other POP3 client
I've ever seen. It even works with DHCP or other dynamically assigned ip
number systems. Of course then you have to have a log that shows what ip
number was assigned to what machine (or dialup user) at what time, but it
should still be possible to track down if done in a timely manner.

Sent me a postcard of a library yet? You'll get something nice in return.
