e-mail in libraries

That is a very good point!  My understanding is that our situation here at
Harding is unusal in the fact that we have a seperate Computer Services
department.  In other universities, the computer services department is a
department of the library.  If that is the case, then yes, the library
does, in fact, need to provide email access.  

I would still question whether or not email access should be provided
within the library, but if the library is ultimately the provider of
computer services for the campus, then, the library is responsible for
students email access.

It really throws a monkey wrench in things, but it's a good point!
