I just saw in an article by Laura LeMay,("HTML Coding:Lost and Found"
Webtechniques, march 1997, 18-22), that Excite does not use Meta keywords
in its index because of "spamdexing" - unethical use of hundreds of
irrelevant keywords to get your page noticed) and that other indexes have
had to institute safeguards against this practice.  However she doesn't
mention any index services that avoid pages with metadata.
