controlling patron internet access time

My reference department is interested in hearing how other libraries have
managed to control time limits for patrons on internet terminals. We are
most interested in any success stories about systems that keep track of the
length of time a patron has been on the internet and will then disconnect
that user. We are about to begin sign-up times for internet use. We don't
expect that to be too successful, based on the reports of other libraries.
You can post to the list or privately , but I have a feeling many others may
be interested in this topic.
